Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe gets new CMD

The Federal Government has approved the appointment of Dr. Yahaya Alkali as Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, for an initial term of four years.

A statement by the Director, Media and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Health, Mrs. Boade Akinola, on Tuesday in Abuja, said that the effective date of the appointment was Oct. 15.

She quoted the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, as congratulating the new CMD.

The minister urged the new CMD to “imbibe the spirit of team work to ensure that the hospital continued to provide quality healthcare services to Gombe State and its environs.”

He charged the entire staff of the hospital to cooperate with the new CMD with a view to improving the quality of services in the hospital.
