The Federal Government has effected changes in the leadership of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) by sacking the its executive Secretary, Dr. Abdullahi Baffa and replacing him with its former boss, Prof. Suleiman Bogoro.
The Deputy Director (Information) of the Ministry of Information, Mr. Ben Goong made this known in a statement on Monday.
The Federal Government in August 3, 2016, replaced Bogoro with Baffa as Executive Secretary of TETFUND. No reason was given for the government’s action.
“The Federal Government has approved the reinstatement of Prof. Suleiman Elias Bogoro as the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.
“A statement from the Office of the Honourable Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, said, the reinstatement of Prof. Bogoro is with immediate effect, with the same terms and conditions as it were in his previous appointment and as stipulated in the TETFUND staff conditions of service.
“Prof. Suleiman Bogoro was the Executive Secretary of TETFUND between April 2014 and February 2016,” Goong’s terse statement read.
