After spending 80 days in the kidnappers den, two nurses kidnapped while on night duty at Doka General Hospital in Kajuru, Kaduna State, have been freed.
The two nurses, Afiniki Bako and Grace Nkut, were abducted in April, 2021 with ransom placed on their heads. N10 million had already been paid to their abductors.
Chairman of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Kaduna State Chapter, Comrade, Ishaku Yakubu said they were released on Saturday, 10th July at about 7:00pm.
It is believed that no additional ransom was paid to the kidnappers apart from the N10 million naira earlier paid to them.
Yakubu also disclosed that two motorcycles were given to the bandits before they freed the ladies.
