Days after Oyo State former governor, Abiola Ajimobi, was announced the acting National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) the politician has died from COVID-19 related complications.
The 70 years old former governor who was announced APC national chairman last Tuesday, had been under quarantine for over three weeks battling the lethal disease.
He had been in a coma and on life support before he reportedly died in a hospital in Lagos state, Thursday June 25.
Ajimobi who made news over the phrase, ‘Constituted Authority’ was rumored to have died last Thursday, June 18 but his aides and family members debunked the report, urging Nigerians to rather pray for his recovery.
The late APC acting National Chairman, was Oyo State governor between 20011 and 2019 and is survived by his wife, Florence, and children.
