Days after the Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu announced that he has contracted the COVID-19, his wife, Mrs Betty Akeredolu, has also tested positive.
A government official who confirmed this said one of the governor’s security aides also tested positive for the virus.
“The samples of the First Lady which was collected two days ago and one of the security aides of the governor returned positive this morning.”
The official added that the First Lady has embarked on self-isolation but said:
“We are still awaiting the results of some media aides of the governors and some commissioners who interact with the state governor regularly.”
Governor Akeredolu tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, June 30.
