President Muhammadu Buhari has announced that he will on Tuesday, March 30, fly out of Nigeria for the UK for his routine medical checkup.
Buhari’s trip is coming on the heels of a 48 hour ultimatum given by Nigerian resident doctors to embark on an industrial action over the neglect of the country’s health sector and its practitioners.
Spokesman of Buhari, Mr. Femi Adesina released a statement in which he said the President will be back in Nigeria in the second week of April.
Adesina said; ”President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London, the United Kingdom, Tuesday March 30, 2021, for a routine medical check-up.
The President meets with Security Chiefs first in the morning, after which he embarks on the journey.
He is due back in the country during the second week of April, 2021.”
