President Muhammadu Buhari has finally agreed to address Nigerians at about 7pm today October 22.
Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, made this known in a statement he released this afternoon.
The statement reads;
”Following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 7pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast”.
Nigerians have been calling on President Buhari to address the nation since the #EndSARS protest began. On Tuesday, soldiers stormed the Lekki Tollgate, one of the venues of the protest and killed scores of the protesters.
