Bandits’ attempt attack on Bishop Oyedepo’s school in Kaduna

Killer herdsmen invade Enugu community kill four injure scores

Bandits suspected to be kidnappers met their match on Monday, July 5, 2021 when they attempted to invade Faith Academy, a secondary school owned by the chairman of Living Faith Church Worldwide Bishop David Oyedepo.

The foiled attack was at the school not distant from another boarding school where many students were abducted in Chikun local government area of Kaduna State.

The gunmen reportedly launched coordinated attacks on Bethel secondary school and Faith Academy simultaneously in the early hours of Monday.

According to a security source, the gunmen broke into the premises of Faith Academy through the back fence around 1am but were repelled by soldiers, with assistance from the school security team.

As if suspecting an attack, the school management had last week instructed all students to go home, except SS3 students who were preparing for final year exams.

A parent who said adequate provision has been made to move the SS3 students to Barnawa in Kaduna south local government area where they are expected to continue with their studies, commended security agents for their timely intervention.
