Breaking: It makes no sense for oil to be cheaper in Nigeria – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has given indication that Nigerians have not seen the last of fuel pump price hike and must be prepared to pay more for the product.

Buhari gave the indication during his October 1Independence Day celebration message to Nigerians where he said it makes no sense for oil to be cheaper in Nigeria than in Saudi Arabia.

The president who made reference to oil producing countries where fuel sells for higher amount pointed out that Nigeria should not be an exception.

Chad, Niger Republic and Ghana, he said, sells for above N300 while Egypt sells for above N200 and Saudi Arabia selling above Nigeria’s N162.

Buhari reiterated his commitment to lift 100 million Nigeria out of Poverty in 10 years.

  1. Does it mean before Buhari leaves office fuel will sell for more than N300 per litre?.
    Meanwhile most of this countries he compared Nigeria with have refineries and have been enjoying uninterrupted power supply for many years now.
