The convener of the rave of the movement, #EndSARS campaign, Segun Awosanya has added his voice to condemn the nomination of Buhari’s aide, Lauretta Onochie for the position of Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, saying the president erred.
Awosanya during an AIT Television interview said President Muhammadu Buhari has once again, shown himself as being insensitive to the feelings of Nigerians by nominating Onochie
While describing Onochie as a reprehensible fellow without a modicum of integrity, Awosanya said Buhari flouted the country’s constitution by the nomination.
Citing Onochie’s membership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC,) Awosanya said the Nigerian constitution forbids a card carrying member of a political party from being nominated for a position in the country’s electoral body.
He called on Buhari to respect the feelings of Nigerians and the constitution of the country by withdrawing Onochie’s nomination.
Onochie has made herself notorious in Buhari government by her penchant for flippancy.
