Buhari’s absence at UK summit dinner for African leaders raises eyebrows

Nigerians on Tuesday were left puzzled when President Muhammadu Buhari was conspicuously absent at a dinner party on Monday as part of events at the UK-Africa Investment Summit.

Members of the Royal family led by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and wife, Kate, hosted the African leaders who attended the UK summit, to the dinner reception.

African leaders including Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo, Rwanda President Paul Kagame, and others were present at the dinner

Nigeria’s president was however not in attendance. He was represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffery Onyeama, leaving Nigerians with conjectures which they ventilated on the social media.
