Court order FG to reopen AIT
Less than 24 hours after a federal government agency, carried out a shutdown of the African Independent television (AIT), the Federal High Court, Abuja has ordered its reopening.
This comes after Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court Abuja, earlier today gave an order that the National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) should maintain status quo and allow the media stations air their programmes without any further hindrance.
It would be recalled that the NBC, yesterday suspended the license of DAAR communications, owners of AIT and Ray Power, on grounds that the stations failed to follow its broadcasting guidelines.
