FG shuts down schools nationwide over coronavirus

 

The federal government has ordered the immediate closure of all schools across the country following the rising incidence of coronavirus cases in the country.

The federal government action conveyed by the federal ministry of education came on the heels of a similar directive made by several state government including Lagos, Ogun, Benue and Enugu.

The Federal ministry of Education directive was confirmed to newsmen by the permanent secretary of the ministry Mr Sunny Echono.

Although he did not give details, the action is a response to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country and as part of measures to contain the spread.
