FG appoints visitation panels to Polytechnics, Colleges of Education

The federal government has ordered all schools across the country to reopen for academic activities by October 12.

This directive came more than six months after all schools nationwide were closed by the government to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu who made this known on Friday in Abuja, also directed all Federal Colleges also called Unity schools, to reopen on October 12.

He disclosed that the decision was reached after consultations with education stakeholders in the public and private sector as well as international and development partners and urged all state and private schools to work out their modalities to reopen their schools.

Adamu advised all institutions to obey and adhere to the presidential task force guidelines on reopening of schools.
