Marauding gunmen have killed 10 people including five vigilante member during an attack in Janbako community of Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to eyewitnesses, the local vigilantes attempted to withstand the gunmen who invaded the community by 10.30 am on Sunday, January 17.
The gunmen were also said to have injured four other persons apart from the dead
“Bandits shot and killed 10 innocent people during the attack while four people sustained gunshot wounds in the village,” an eyewitness said.
Residents of the community have called on to the state and federal governments to deploy more security personnel to the area.
