Kidnappers collect N2m ransom after killing Lagos pastor

A gang of kidnappers have killed a Lagos-based pastor, Frederick Aramuwa, after they had collected N 2 million ransom.

Aramuwa lifeless body found after he was kidnapped while travelling along the Ipele/Idoani Road in Ondo State.

The clergy who was travelling from Lagos to his hometown, Ifira-Akoko in Ondo State had reportedly been missing since March 31.

His kidnappers were said to have demanded for N10 million ransom, which was later reduced to N2 million after negotiations.

According to reports, after the N2 million ransom was paid, the lifeless body of the pastor was later discovered in the forest. His corpse has since been deposited in the morgue at the General Hospital, Ipe-Akoko.

An officer of the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Tee-Leo Ikoro confirmed the death of the pastor saying the deceased’s remains were discovered tied to a tree in the forest.

Ikoro further said that other persons kidnapped along with the pastor have been rescued by the police and efforts to arrest those behind the abduction and murder have been intensified.
