Kidnappers release pastor after N5m ransom

A pastor and the General Overseer of a Pentecostal church was set free by kidnappers after a ransom of N5 million was paid by his family and friends.

Education Tell gathered that Pastor Daniel Adejoh, the General Overseer of Kingdom Light Church for all Nations, along Dutse Kubwa Expressway, was kidnapped in the highway of Kogi State on his way to a programme.

The kidnappers who made contact with Adejoh’s family demanded a ransom of N15 million before he would regain his freedom.

While Pastor Adejoh was in the kidnappers’ den, the kidnap incident was announced in most of the Pentecostal ministry around the Dutse-Kubwa chapter of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) which he belongs.

Prayers were called by the pastors of the various ministries of PFN in the area for the safe release of the pastor.

The prayer of the church was granted as the kidnappers eventually scaled down their demand to N5 million which the pastor’s family members and the PFN rallied round and paid after Adjoh had spent nearly a fortnight.

After Pastor Adejoh’s release last week, the ministries around the Dutse-Kubwa axis announced it in their various churches with prayers of thanksgiving rendered for his safe return.
