As the globe celebrates World Breastfeeding Week from August 1 to 7, a medical expert. Mr. Johnbull Nnorom, has appealed to the menfolk to desist from the practice of sucking their wife’s breasts, saying that breast milk is meant strictly for infants.

Nnorom who spoke to Education Tell said it is a common practice for a lot of men to engage in sucking their wife’s breast during foreplay and sexual intercourse.

According to him, the men must not compete with the newborn babies who, he said, need the nutrients from the woman’s breast for their healthy upbringing at this early stage of their lives.

“You know that is a common practice in our society and most societies in the world for men to take delight in sucking their wife’s breast during sexual intercourse. The truth is that there is no benefit for them from the breast. The breast is meant for the newborn babies. They need it for proper and healthy growth.

“But you see many men say they enjoy their wife’s breast and they cannot do without it during sex. This is not right. There is nothing they are gaining from the breast. The nutrient is meant for the babies.

[penci_blockquote style=”style-2″ align=”none” author=””]Meanwhile, a senior journalists who craved anonymity, reacted to the appeal for men to desist from sucking their wife’s breast and said it is easier said than done. According to him, it is very difficult for men to resist sucking their wife’s breast.[/penci_blockquote]

“The women who should understand this must encourage the men to desist from this act. The new born babies are the ones who need the milk from their mothers’ breasts not the men. I don’t know whether it is because some women call their hubby “baby” that is why they allow them to suck their breast,” Nnorom said.

The expert who spoke about the importance of the World Breastfeeding Week, said that it was very important to continue to create the awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding, especially exclusive breastfeeding.

He condemned the notion expressed by some women that breastfeeding makes their breast to sag faster than it should have, saying that the way God made the breast, it is not meant to sag because of breastfeeding.

He said, “Usually a woman’s breasts sag if the woman does not feed herself with nutritious food which will replenish her body both during pregnancy and after childbirth”.

Nnorom pointed out that nursing mothers ought to know that breastfeeding is an important aspect of healthcare delivery to infants, and found to be of enormous benefits, not only to babies, but also to mothers. According to him, the benefit have bother immediate and long term impact on both.

In his words; “exclusive breastfeeding helps a child’s body system to perform perfectly, especially in improving the mental development in babies up to childhood.

He stressed that some antibodies in breast milk help to enhance the child’s immunity, preventing him from common infections.

Meanwhile, a senior journalists who craved anonymity, reacted to the appeal for men to desist from sucking their wife’s breast and said it is easier said than done. According to him, it is very difficult for men to resist sucking their wife’s breast.

Asked what men derive from sucking the breast, he said, “It’s not exactly the milk that is the attraction but the pleasure they derive from it”. According to him, “that is when men behave like babies to their wife”.
