The chairman of Pinnacle Communications Limited, Lucky Omoluwa, on Tuesday, slumped and died after a brief illness.
Omoluwa before his death, was being prosecuted by the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) alongside suspended Director-General of the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) Ishaq Kawu and Chief operating officer of Pinnacle Communications Dipo Onifade.
The Pinnacle Communications boss reportedly first took ill on Saturday sand was admitted at a hospital in Abuja. He resumed work on Monday after being discharged, but suffered a relapse on Tuesday morning.
Mr. Omoluwa was said to have slumped on Tuesday morning and later passed on at the National Hospital in Abuja, where he was rushed to for treatment.
Before his demise, Omoluwa and other co-defendants were standing trial for alleged abuse of office and money laundering over the misappropriation of N2.5 billion in the Digital Switch-Over (DSO) programme.
