Nigeria now has 17,148 COVID-19 cases with 490 new infections

 

Nigeria now has a total of 17,148 cases of COVID-19 with 490 new infections recorded across the country on Tuesday, June 16, 2020.

According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, 142 of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, 60 in FCT, 54 in Bayelsa, 39 in Rivers, 37 in Delta, 30 in Oyo and  26 in Kaduna.

Others are 23 in Imo, 19 in Enugu, 17 in Kwara, 11 in Gombe, 10 in Ondo, 8 in Bauchi, 7 in Ogun, 6 in Borno, and 1 in Benue State.

At the last count, 5,623 patients have been discharged from various Isolation centers across the country, while 455 deaths have been recorded.
