Nigeria records 12,233 cases of COVID-19 with 389 new infections

 

While Nigerians are celebrating the gradual easing of the COVID-19 lockdown the number of infected persons continues to rise daily across the country.

According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), 66 of the new cases were recorded in Lagos, 50 in FCT, 32 in Delta, 31 in Oyo, 26 in Borno, 24 in Rivers, 23 in Edo, 23 in Ebonyi, 17 in Anambra and  17 in Gombe.

Others are 14 in Nasarawa, 12 in Imo, 12 in Kano, 12 in Sokoto, 8 in Jigawa, 7 in Ogun, 5 in Bauchi, 2 in Kebbi, 2 in Kaduna, 2 in Katsina, 2 in Ondo, 1 each in Abia and Niger states.

Nigeria now has 12,233 confirmed cases, 3826 patients discharged while 342 deaths have been recorded so far.
