Nigeria records 15 deaths, 1303 coronavirus cases

 

Nigeria has suffered 15 deaths and recorded 1303 coronavirus infections across the country on Tuesday, 26 January 2021.

According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC which released the figures,  Lagos recorded 478 new cases while the FCT recorded 211 fresh cases. 

Other states with new cases include Nasarawa-83, Rivers-72, Kwara-42, Edo-36, Ondo-34, Benue-32, Kaduna-32, Katsina-26, Plateau-26, Kano-25, Taraba-25, Osun-22, Delta-21, Oyo-21, Niger-19, Sokoto-18, Ebonyi-17, Ekiti-14, Gombe-13, Ogun-12, Bauchi-11, Zamfara-8, Borno-4 and Jigawa-1.

Nigeria currently has 124, 299 confirmed cases of the disease. 99, 276 patients have successfully been treated and discharged while 1522 patients have died from the disease.
