Nigerians have dragged Terry Waya to the cleaners for calling on the #EndSARS protesters to leave the streets and give peace a chance.
Terry Waya, a self-acclaimed had taken to his Instagram to reveal that he’s “fully” with protesters in the “battle to end not only SARS but all forms of brutality and oppression, whether military or government.”
He, however, urged the protesting Nigerian youths, to “allow peace to reign by leaving the streets and allow the government to implement what they have promised to do.”
Nigerian youths have been on major cities across the country on peaceful protests calling for an end to brutality, extortions and wanton killings by personnel of the Nigeria Police.
Waya, father of Kiddwaya, one of the members of the recently concluded Big Brother Naija Lockdown show did not expect the reaction of Nigerians to his call.
Many called him unprintable names accusing him of being a major player in the corruption that has plagued the country over the years. They rained abuses on him and his family, alleging that his wealth came from his association with ex-governors James Ibori and Lucky Igbinedion, two government functionaries convicted for corruption.
