Non-qualification: Nasarawa pencils 1251 teachers for sack

1251 teachers have been penciled down for sack by the Nasarawa state government over non possession of the requisite teaching qualification.

The Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) Executive Chairman, Mohammed Dan’azimi made this known while inaugurating a seven (7) man implementation committee to disengage the said teachers.

The chairman who was represented by the secretary of the board, Hajia Hashiya Ahmed, stated that the committee has been given the mandate to take every necessary step to ensure that the affected teachers are registered with National Teachers Institute (NTI) and Collage of Education Akwanga to obtain requisite teaching qualification.

He stressed that there will be no tolerance for quackery, just as no teacher will be allowed to teach in any primary school in the state without a requisite teaching qualification.
