Ondo state loses Commissioner for Health, to COVID-19

 

Ondo State has lost its Commissioner for Health, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, to the coronavirus.

Adegbenro died at the state infectious disease hospital in Akure on Thursday at the age of 65.

The commissioner’s death comes two days after the state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, announced that he tested positive for Coronavirus.

Governor Akeredolu in a state-wide broadcast disclosed his COVID-19 status. He said he is asymptomatic and is now in isolation.

Ondo State currently has a coronavirus case of more than 300.
