President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday December 31, 2020 signed the 2021 Appropriation Bill of N13,588,027,886,175 trillion into law.
He signed the budget at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja
The 2021 appropriation bill was passed into law by the National Assembly on December 21, 2021 with an aggregate expenditure of N13, 588, 027,886, 175 trillion.
This figure comprises total Capital Supplementation of N1,060,751,051,650 trillion and total Capital Expenditure of N4,125,149,354,222 trillions, Statutory Transfer stands at N496,528,471,273 billions; recurrent Expenditure of N5,641,970,060,680 trillions and Gross Domestic Product, GDP growth rate of 3.00 Percent.
The country’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Finance Zainab Ahmed, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha, were present during the signing of the budget.
