The Rector of the Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy, Enugu (FCDTTE) Dr John Emaimo, has appealed to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) to come to the aid of the institution’s infrastructure development need.
Emaimo, made the appeal during a news conference in Enugu, where he said lack of aid from TETFUND had affected the training and development of professionals in the field of dentistry.
The Rector listed the needs of the college to include; the provision of classrooms, auditorium and administrative blocks, hostel accommodation, staff quarters, residence for principal officers, provision of standard library, provision of college buses among other amenities.
“With the help of TETFUND, the college will be re-positioned to attract large number of foreign students, reduce capital flight and generate fund from International students. FCDTTE remains the only such institution in Africa,’’ he said.
He urged the media to draw the attention of the TETFUND and other stakeholders to intervene in the development of the college.
The rector said any facelift in the infrastructure development of the college would bring about huge return on every investment made on the institution.
“The college is also soliciting for your goodwill and professional technocracy in placing clarion call on the relevant authorities and individuals for intervention.
