Robert Mugabe burial shifted indefinitely, to get traditional rites
The family members of Late Robert Mugabe have announced the indefinite postponement of the burial of the former Zimbabwe ultimate ruler.
Mugabe’s burial earlier fixed for September 15, in Zimbabwe, will hold only whn the traditional chiefs say so, according to the family spokesman.
According to a nephew of Mugabe, Leo Mugabe, who is also the family’s spokesman, Mugabe was a chief and he would be given a traditional burial.
His words; “Mugabe was a chief and he will be buried in accordance with tradition. The chiefs have not told us where he will be buried, so it is not clear yet. I also don’t know”.
95 year-old Mugabe died on Friday in Singapore, where he was receiving medical treatment. His body is expected back in Zimbabwe on Wednesday.
