The terrorists were attacking several local government areas of the state when the State Security Task Force swooped on them neutralising them.

The State’s Commissioner of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, Mr Emmanuel Umar, who made this known to newsmen on Wednesday, said that two security operatives died during the onslaught while few sustained various forms of injury.
Umar said that most of the terrorists killed were members of four terrorist groups, including the Ali Kawajo, Kachalla Halilu, Yellow Jonbros and Bello Tachi adding that most of the Commanders of the groups were also neutralised.
He stated that over 100 motorcycles, several rustled cows and arms and ammunition were recovered from the bandits.
According to Umar, several of the bandits fled with several injuries and in hiding calling on the public to report any strange faces in their communities to security agencies stressing that the fight is not for the government alone.
The Commissioner reiterated government determination to ensure that no terrorist thrives in the state stressing that the government’s new security strategies and engagement are yielding massive results.
“We will not rest; we will do all we can for these terrorists to pay for the destruction and bloodshed they have caused the people and the state.
‘We have adopted new strategies and engagements which are yielding results. But all hands must be on deck to ensure that we all get results,” he said.
Umar who pointed out that the security operatives were prepared for reprisal attacks over the latest onslaught, appreciated the traditional institutions, the army, the vigilantes, the Police, the officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the media for the recent victories against the terrorists.
