Student dupes eatery by eating free food for 2 years on false claims
A 27-year-old South African student (not named) successfully conned an eatery for two years eating their sumptuous meal daily on the pretext that he was send by the headquarters office to taste if the meals meet standards.
The student of the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), will appear in court after he was caught for fooling KFC employees by pretending to be doing inspections at a KFC outlet in Durban for free food.
The man tricked the company for two -years into thinking he was sent from KFC headquarters for quality assurance.
According to Xpouzar, he was so convincing that it took them two years to realise they were being robbed, He had a name card from “head office” and dress very smart and arrives in a limo.
The report also revealed that his friend a part-time limo driver was also an accomplice.
“When he arrived we will all try to act our best so that we don’t piss off man from head office, he was so convincing because he was so confident and even colleagues from other KFC’s knows him”
“When he comes in he rushed to the kitchen and check everything taking notes and then ask for samples of whatever he wants. He probably worked for KFC before because he knows everything.”
