Suicide bombing: Schools, worship place charged to intensify security checks

Following Sunday’s failed suicide bombing attempt in a Kaduna Church, the State’s police command has charged schools, worship centers, markets, motor parks and owners of other public places to resume security checks of persons entering their premises.

A suspected suicide bomber identified as Nathaniel Samuel was nabbed at the Living Faith Church in Sabon Tasha, Kaduna on Sunday.

The command’s spokesperson, Yakubu Sabo, in a press statement also charged police officers to intensify surveillance and to liaise with stakeholders within their respective jurisdictions to ensure collective vigilance.

“Members of the public have also been assured of their safety by the police who are working tirelessly to foil any planned attack in the state.
