Supplementary elections: Gunmen kidnap 4 INEC officials in Bauchi
Suspects armed election thugs on Saturday kidnapped four yet-to-be identified staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Bauchi State.
The incident was said to have occurred at Jamare Local Government Registration Area 02 with Polling Unit Code 010.
A staff of INEC, who escaped the invasion of the thugs at the polling unit, said the armed security operatives came in seven Toyota Hilux vans.
According to him, the abducted staff were taken away with voting materials.
“Four of our staff in Jamare LGA Registration Area 02 with Polling Unit Code 010 have been abducted with voting materials. The place was invaded by heavily armed security operatives who came in seven Toyota Hilux Vans, and took the four INEC officials to Jamare LGA to perfect their plots,” he said.
