Thieves in coronavirus doctors outfit break into homes

Police in Barcelona, Spain have raised the alarm over a new strategy by thieves to disguise as coronavirus doctors to break into homes.

The police issued an alert to aged ‘vulnerable’ people after two women and a man dressed in medical lab coats posed as ‘coronavirus’ doctors and went to an aged person’s house in an attempt to steal under the pretext they were there to carry out medical checks.

The resident alerted police after suspecting they were not real doctors but the suspects fled before officers showed up.

Police in the Catalan area of Barcelona have sent a warning to the public not to be deceived by thieves capitalizing on the Coronavirus to invade people’s homes.

The coronavirus death toll in Spain has risen to 84 and the number of cases as high as 3,000 but Police have warned that patients in self isolation will be phone called by doctors before any visit.
