The autopsy report of the Cross River State woman who died after showing suspected COVID-19 symptoms has finally come out.
One of the doctors who conducted the autopsy on the late woman spoke with EDUCATIONTELL under condition of anonymity. According to him, the autopsy result came out negative for the coronavirus disease.
He explained that although the symptoms leading to her death, including respiratory problems, were all associated with coronavirus symptoms, but her death had nothing to do with the virus.
It would be recalled that the woman’s husband, a resident of Calabar Town had rushed his wife to a hospital in the state capital after she developed symptoms associated with COVID-19. She was later placed on oxygen due to respiratory difficulties but died later.
The husband who also suspected COVID-19 had to isolate himself from people coming to condole with him, pending the outcome of the autopsy.
Cross River State has remained invincible to the coronavirus disease while the country has over 7500 cases with more than 200 deaths.
