A lecturer of the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna, Omanayin Yunusa Adinoyi, was shown the door out of the institution after he was found guilty of harassing his female students for sex.
The school’s management dismissed Adinoyi, a lecturer in the Department of Geology, following the outcome of an investigation to look into the allegation brought against him by some students of the institution.

It was alleged that Adinoyi sexually assaulted a female student in his department who took his course. The girl reported the case and the school immediately set up a panel to look into the issue and the outcome of the investigation led to his dismissal.

The University Council’s 131st meeting presided over by the Vice Chancellor (VC), Prof. Abdullahi Bala was said to have approved the dismissal. The decision was reached after the investigative panel found Adinoyi guilty of inappropriate relationship with a female student.
