Adamawa House of Assembly on Tuesday confirmed the nomination of a lecturer with Modibbo Adamawa University of Technology (MAUTECH), Yola, Dr John Ngamsa, as commissioner nominee.
Gov. Mohammed Bindow had nominated Ngamsa for screening and confirmation to represent Numan Local Government Area.
The house in plenary presided by the Speaker Kabiru Mijinyawa, also approved Bindow’s request to source for N220 million from Zenith Bank Plc.
The money is meant to finance the state counterpart contribution for the implementation of EU-UNICEF-supported rural water and sanitation programme in the state.
The house also passed two bills, Penal Code Law and Management Law, while the bill to establish Adamawa State Health Insurance Scheme Agency was referred to the House Standing Committee on Health and Human Services for scrutiny.
The bill was sponsored by Rufai Umar (ADC-Gombi).
