Bayero varsity expels 33 students over exam malpractice
33 students who allegedly involved in various forms of examination malpractice during the 2017, 2018 academic session, have been kicked out of the school.
As statement by the Bayero University Kano, acting Director, Directorate of Examination and Records (DEAR) Hajiya Abdullahi, revealed that the Senate of the university approved the expulsion of the affected students during its 365 meeting.
According to the university, 12 other students were rusticated and directed to repeat a session, while 70 others were issued with warning of consequences of future involvements. Whlie two students were exonerated from any offences, two cases were deferred for further investigation
“Equally, two students were exonerated from any offence and two cases were deferred for further investigation.
“The candidates were expelled for involvement in examination misconduct in accordance with regulation 19.17,” the university stated
